1.)  What are SimPedals?

Main Performance PC first started designing and planning SimPedals in late 2012. After many prototypes and testing scenarios, we finally settled on a design that we felt was good enough for retail availabilty.

Many people ask us why they are so similar to CST's. CST went defunct around mid 2011 to 2012. It's long story, but we now own the design rights to the product.

SimPedals are the first high-end GT Style pedal set available for both PC and Gaming Consoles.

2.)  Why is there not a 2-pedal option for Simpedals?

Manufacturing is not easy, offering too many customized options can make things quite difficult. Most consumers prefer having a clutch anyway, so we're offering it by default. We won't remove it for a discount, sorry.

3.)  Is the clutch designed to feel like a real clutch?

This is a catch22. There are no simulations out there that model a proper clutch feel - they can mimic it, and some do quite well. But the real feel of a clutch comes from the drivetrain of the actual vehicle, and without some sort of mechanized system that is able to relay real forcefeedback from a drivetrain in a simulation, having a "real" feeling clutch is next to impossible.

We do provide the user to adjust the pressure of the pedal though, so you can get a clutch feeling that is somewhat close to the real thing. We are experimenting with other ways of doing this, which will likely make it into future pedal models we release. SimPedals is just the beginning!

4.)  What are SimPedals made of?

Simpedals are made of a combination of steel and precision CNC Aluminum. We spared no expense in the quality of SimPedals. You get what you pay for!

6.)  Is there grip tape available for purchase?

Your Simpedals will come with a set of grip tape for the gas, clutch and brake pedal. They are NOT pre-installed. Should you need to order replacements, they are available for purchase, just contact us direct for replacements. They are not available from our website.

Grip tape is a custom die cut 3M SafetyWalk tape, it is rubberized and comfortable for use in shoes, socks, or even barefeet.

7.)  Why are they Out of Stock so often?

As of the writing of this FAQ, we have over 5000+ customers on a waiting list. This "waiting list" does not guarantee you a set, we just send an email to that list whenever we have stock, allowing users to purchase on a first come, first serve basis.

As we narrow down our manufacturing schedule and figure out the best approach for assembly, you should see them in stock more often then not. It's our first big project, so we are sure that there will be delays at times. We are not taking any pre-orders for the pedals.

Though for special times of the year, like Christmas, we may allow pre-orders so that people can provide Holiday Gifts for their loved ones. But this will likely be the only exception to our "No Pre-Order" policy.

8.)  These things work on gaming consoles too?!

Yup, they sure do! We have a current patent pending status on the circuit board via a utility patent. The pedals connect direct to your console compatible wheel, which in turn allows them to be used on a gaming console.

Simpedals work on the following wheels:

Logitech G25/G27

Thrustmaster T300, T500, TX

All Fanatec Wheels (There are two available cables for Fanatec Wheels, an Rj12 connector cable, and a PS2 connector cable.)
